Donations and Support

Help inspire a love of reading and writing in urban classrooms! You can honor a book-loving friend, sponsor a school visit and come along–and by doing so, you’ll make a powerful connection between children and great books.

Your donation supports our author and illustrator visits and residencies in under-served schools, as well as professional development workshops for teachers and librarians. You can honor a book lover in your life with a gift in his or her name. We will send them an acknowledgement card featuring a children’s book illustrator. You can sponsor a school visit or residency at an under-served school and join us for the visit yourself. This experience has been given as a very unique and exciting birthday gift!
